DHANASHREE & YUZI
Dec 2020 | Delhi, India

Dhanashree and Yuzi had their very first interaction during the lockdown when Yuzi came across her dance routines on social media. He got in touch with her saying - “Hey! I wanna learn how to dance!’’

This is what planted the first seed of love and thus began their journey as they danced their way to being best friends. As his playful and fun loving energy charmed Dhanashree, they both realised that there was more to just friendship.

The couple decided to tie the knot in Dec 2020 and had an intimate ceremony with their closed family & friends in Gurgaon.

Dhanashree’s Mehendi

The wedding festivities kick-started with an intimate Mehendi ceremony at Dhanashree’s residence in Mumbai amid her immediate family members. As she glowed in the excitement of her new life, her friends and family surrounded her with lots of dancing, love and laughter.

The Engagement

Enchanting floral decor adorned The Karma Lakelands’ gardens for their engagement. Decked in matching Tarul Tahiliani attires, they exchanged rings and played fun games with the guests in their trademark cute, goofy style.

The Haldi

Their Haldi was a boho, sunkissed afternoon marked with striking yellow elements. Sporting a boho braid, bright yellow outfit and floral jewellery, Dhanashree was in perfect sync with the marigold decor that surrounded them. The air echoed with giggles and laughter as friends and family coloured them yellow amidst showers of rose petals.

The Sangeet

A colourful neon-lit night, an enthusiastic crowd and a line-up of dance performances marked the Sangeet evening. Staying true to her roots, Yuzi’s mom took over the stage with a Haryanvi dance in a traditional costume. What stood out the most though, was seeing Yuzi effortlessly master the art of dancing! It seemed like the perfect conclusion to their love-story that owed its blissful existence to dance. Yuzi and Shikhar then took on the stage with their fun ‘boliyan’ as they all danced the drunken night away!

Bridal Dress up

For her big day, Dhanashree opted for a quintessential bridal red lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani. As her visible excitement gleamed through, she joined her bridesmaids for some mandatory pictures before she officially became Mrs. Yuzi Chahal!

The Baraat

For the wedding day, Yuzi donned an intricate ivory Tarun Tahiliani sherwani. His friends helped him get dressed for a fun-filled baraat procession that saw them all dance their hearts out. The procession was ceremoniously welcomed by the bride’s family as he cut the ‘entry’ ribbon to make his way!

The Varmala

As she walked in blushing, Yuzi clearly couldn’t take his eyes off his to-be-bride. The duo exchanged garlands in the presence of all their loved ones who cheered along and blessed them with showers of rose petals.

The Wedding Ceremony

The décor was themed around hues of ivory and red, with roses and crystals, and was attended by a host of notable guests, including Piyush Sachdeva, Rohit Reddy and several members of the Indian Cricket team. Dhanashree made a statement as she entered with a cricket ball in her hand which she threw playfully at her groom-in-waiting - a symbolic act of their adorable friendship that was soon to be knotted in the sands of time.

The Bidai

After the wedding ceremony, the newly weds bid adieu as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives. Dhanashree’s teary-eyed family watched as she left for her new home. Mixed emotions of sadness and happy sighs engulfed the air as she waved goodbye to her loved ones.

Grahapravesh

Dhanashree was graciously welcomed by her mother-in-law as she entered her new home for the very first time, saving her footprints as a lifelong memory of the occasion. The couple then played some post wedding games, and enjoyed a fun filled banter between the husband and wife.
