He was late for their very first meeting and she was spot on with her timings as usual. Nonetheless, when Bipasha first met this sharply dressed man, she instantly took a liking to him while he immediately felt the warmth of her happy persona.

One date led to another and then there was no looking back for these two lovebirds. He brought out the inner child in her while helping her ‘find’ herself and within no time, she was sure that he was the man she’d always craved for. “Waking up every morning, realising that you are with that one person who means everything is a precious feeling right?”

The Bachelorette Party

Bipasha’s sisters and closest friends hosted a fun bridal shower for her in Mumbai. Red balloons, a cake customised for the fitness freak couple, sparklers and quirky props highlighted the party. The climax of the evening was when Karan, along with his “monkey pack” gatecrashed her hen party before heading to Goa for his own Bachelors’ Party. Bipasha’s gleaming smile lit up the place all evening just like the sparklers did!

Briddhi Puja

This traditional Bengali ceremony was a close knit affair held at her residence in Mumbai. Bipasha looked radiant in a pink saree and kundan jewellery while Karan was dressed in white for the pious ritual. We witnessed some beautiful moments as the feeling of “It’s finally happening” sinked in.

The Mehendi

Bipasha donned a sequinned Anushree Reddy lehenga-choli in shades of pale gold and pink for her Mehendi. A pastel pink backdrop and mogra florals lent a beautiful vintage Parisian look to the evening. Complementing the vibrant theme of the event were her gorgeous floral tiara and jewellery. Karan kept it simple in a classic white angrakha kurta pyjama. The evening saw the couple’s close friends enjoy a gala song and dance revelry as the overjoyed couple couldn’t seem to contain their smiles.

The Wedding Ceremony

Their nuptials at St. Regis, Mumbai, saw the two beautiful cultures - Bengali and Punjabi melding together. Bipasha looked ethereal in a red and gold Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation, paired with heavy jewellery, Bengali bridal makeup and the traditional mukut. Karan, on the other hand, made an entry with all pomp and showmanship on a Segway surrounded by dhol players – in true Punjabi style!

The Reception

The grand Reception hosted by the couple was a star-studded affair as the Bollywood fraternity poured in to congratulate the newlyweds. Bipasha wore an ivory- gold floor grazing Sabyasachi creation paired with a 35 layered necklace and earring set made from the finest Basra pearls and ganthoons, strung with antique jadau pieces and emerald drops. Karan complemented her elegance with a classic white tuxedo.
